United Rehabilitation Services (Dayton, OH) – Offers a wide-array of programs with a variety of person-centered activities, focused on enhancing the physical, social, and emotional needs of children, adults and seniors with developmental or acquired disabilities from throughout the Greater Dayton Region Upgrade computers and associated equipment to support Representative Payee Efficiency. Senior Resource Connection – (Dayton, OH) – Collaborates with community resources and provide services that support seniors, adults with special needs, and their caregivers to maintain quality independent lives. Joy Ride ( Dayton, OH) – A high-end car club event for children with special needs and disabilities,įunding for Comfort Care Tents to provide shelter from sun and rain Purchase of books appropriate for both adults and children living with a developmental disability. In this inaugural year, having received 19 grant worthy requests totaling over $158,000, we awarded the following grants:Ībilities First (Middletown, OH) – Serves children and adults with a wide range of disabilities including cerebral palsy, autism, Down syndrome, learning disabilities, language and cognitive impairments.ĭevelopment of an Inclusive Outdoor Playground The grants are funded by investment growth of the Deceased Beneficiary Fund. Long in the planning, the organization will now award annual grants to nonprofit organizations that serve people living with disabilities. Perhaps our proudest accomplishment this year is the launch of a grant cycle. The Disability Foundation, a supporting organization of The Dayton Foundation, is pleased to offer a Request for Proposal for FY 2019 seeking competitive grants for organizations that provide direct services to or to improve access to services for people living with disabilities.
